Methodology

In implementing the MCMP, DPK has applied its successful methodology honed in numerous projects over the last decade. We have:

  • Engaged actively with the Supreme Court and Ministry of Justice to implement key legislation for new judicial institutions;
  • Established a system of Pilot Courts based on mutual trust, respect, and strong working relationships with President Judges;
  • Worked with other USIAD projects and key international donors;
  • Striven to increase coordination and efficiency of donor cooperation;
  • Worked with training institutions to improve their performance and sustainability;
  • Sought to increase the complementary effect of the Project’s components in framework legislation, court administration, and legal training; and
  • Maintained and enlarged good working relations with our partners
  • During project implementation we anticipate:
  • Full engagement of resident long team project staff;
  • Effective employment of international consultants for concrete tasks, accountable for follow-on recommendations and specific deliverables;
  • Strong professional ties with European judicial institutions and research centers as a basis of support and expertise;
  • Employment and development of Macedonian legal and professional experts as exponents of the Project’s shared values; and
  • Increasing provision of material and technical assistance customized to the needs of our counterparts and the Project’s goals
